Pet week - w.b. 24th June

Summer 2, week 4 - Pet Week!
This week has been an extremely busy and exciting week for Willow Class. We have had visits from Rocky, Flash, Poppy, Roxy, Maddie, Slinky, Beatrix, Picklepops and Pepper! Our visitors were very well-behaved and Willow Class learnt lots about each type of pet.
As well as meeting new pets, Willow Class were joined by Sapling Class and together they created some wonderful pet-inspired art based on the work of Romero Britto. The patterns and colours used made their work look amazing.
Willow Class have also been busy baking this week. In small groups, they went to the art bay to bake some animal biscuits with Mrs Travers. Fortunately, there was some spare dough so we were able to test some biscuits before the children took their own biscuits home. The biscuit tasted delicious.
And finally, it was a bittersweet moment on Thursday as it was time to release 4 of our butterflies. We felt sad to say goodbye but loved seeing the butterflies flutter away onto their next part of their journey.
